Lovely atmosphere with very helpful and friendly staff.  Good food and menu a little different.

We have been quite a lot in past years and everything has always been up to the mark.This visit was excellent and we really enjoyed it

Sadly the 3 Sunday lunches beef, trio and pork belly were cold although the service said on very hot plates, they were not, the roast potatoes soo hard and couldn&rsquo;t cut them in half and oil spurted out when trying to cut them,  the French beans some were very soft and others were not cooked on the same plate , and the meat quite frugal for upwards of &pound;20, per plate, Yorkshire puds ok but  cold. The sea bass ordered was lovely , not enough beef burgers as they had run out by 2pm but the chicken burger was good. We didn&rsquo;t have a dessert .

Met  up with some friends, we were served with good food. The waiter was excellent. Being a bit of a beer guru I thought the beers weren&rsquo;t very exciting, perhaps a local craft beer would improve the range.
